Imposter Syndrome

Imposter Syndrome can be defined as "an internal experience of believing that you are not as competent as others perceive you to be." Looking back on my OT school experience, I have noticed that there was time I did have imposter syndrome. It can be intimidating coming into a program where everyone is a "good" student. When I took the rating scale, I received a moderate imposter phenomenon. I did find it intriguing that I am a perfectionist my nature. I thought my rating scale number would  definitely be higher. Even thought I am my biggest critic, I know how hard I have worked to get where I am today. I have gone out of my way to be in leadership positions, make good grades, and be successful during my time during OT school.  Level II Fieldworks make me nervous and anxious, but I know I can only do my best. I hope to go in and explain my feelings and worries to my fieldwork advisor that way she knows exactly the way I am feeling. I think its important to discuss an
